22/August/2k5 my favorite of 2005 In my flyfishing, a fly which can hook no trout is not interesting . In my fly fishing, a fly which can hook a lots of trouts anytime anywhere makes no meaning. In my flyfishing, a fly which can hook 5 trouts per a day at the most becomes my favorite thing.

11/June/2k5 "Tsuyu", Japanese rainy season has begun. Flyfishing is to intend to hook fish. The more a fly-angler aims something in his fly-fishing, the less the result gains. Trouts are clever and nature is beside you as it is. No fish can imagine his intention. No one knows that the result comes from happenstance. Happenstance gives elegance and uniqueness to the whole. Happenstance is the essential of Wabi-Sabi and Mushin.

24/April/2k5 Uratanzawa stream fishing area with akio-san. The river keeper Sekido-san whom we have not seen for 8 months welcomed us with his smile. He is polite and gentle as usual.

21/March/2005 I went fishing in order to test Italian silk lines today. What a lucky line Terenzio silk line is! Terenzio silk line gave me a big present! This is a 60 cm over enough rainbow trout, and the biggest one I caught today. I broke my record with fine #2 tackle system after one year. (see here also) I received 2 silk line and 1 artificial silk line last week. Mr. Terenzio Zandri made these silk lines for me by his own handcrafting. Impression in today's test in the still water, "Terenzio silk lines looks like non-coated, with a harder finish and have a very distinctive sound going through the guides oh the rod. Shootability, casting distance, is almost same as Phoenix line and Jp.thebault line. The buoyancy of his both lines, a natural silk line and an artificial silk line are enough in still water fishing all day long. (I will report the buoyance in the stream fishing next time.) Concerning shootability of his artificial silk line seems superior than his silk line  and the sound through the guide is smaller than his silk line. Castability (presentation, turn over ability) of Terenzio line seems to be better than Phoenix line. Terenzio original silk leader helps it and brings smooth presentation of the fly on the water. Terenzio line has small loops at the both tip of the line, his line is DT line, and his leader also has small loops at the tip and the butt. The line and the leader can easily connect each other by loop to loop knot. His line and his leader are well fitted each other and the leader is easily changeable by means of the loop connect. Terenzio silk line and leader also do require maintenance with his original grease which has low viscosity (different from "Red Mucilin").  Terenzio-san says that the more the line are used the softer the line becomes. Additionally his silk line must be a lucky line because I could get 60cm over enough rainbow trout in the first field test." Terenzio line is good for the still water fishing and also his braided leader is good. He makes natural silk lines and artificial silk lines. I think that his artificial silk line has high-performance, low-cost, and especially in the view point of only fishing tool, I recommend his artificial silk line as better one. I have finished my first field test in the still water in success. Next time I will test Terenzio line in the stream field. Tackle which made my record in my midging. rod #2 bamboo, great!
