MACCHA

Maccha is powdered green tea. The powdered green tea is two kinds. They are Koicha and Usucha. Both is the same manufacturing method basically. It grinds down a leaf in the tea millstone except for the stem of Tencha and makes it powder.

Raw materials
The tree of the tea that the age of the tree is equal to or more than 80 years. It uses the end of the bud of the young leaf of the tree.(It is equal to or more than 30 years even if it is minimum)

The tree of the tea that the age of the tree is young below 15. It uses the sprout of the tree.

Growing method At the time of 2 weeks before the tree of the tea germinates, the person does a cover and interrupts direct ray sunlight.

The small jar of the pottery.Originally, it is the container which was used to preserve a condiment, a spice and so on.

Natsume

NATSUME

The typical container for Usucah.Originally, it is the wooden case of Karamono-Chaire. Its name is Hikiya which arranged a form for Usucah

Way of making tea
Put powdered green tea for the number of people in the cup. Pour hot water into the cup, dividing the number of times. Mix each other and it kneads until it becomes creamy.

Put powdered green tea for one in the cup. Pour hot water into the cup at once.Brings in air while mixing well and it whips it.
